Egypt, Empower New Energy discuss future clean energy ventures

Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan El-Khatib held a meeting on Tuesday with officials from Empower New Energy to explore cooperation opportunities in the renewable energy sector.

Minister El-Khatib emphasised the government’s focus on attracting foreign investments in the energy sector, highlighting their importance for environmental sustainability. He noted these projects also improve energy efficiency in industrial, commercial, and agricultural sectors, boosting Egypt’s economic growth and market competitiveness.

The minister highlighted that the government is working to streamline procedures and incentivise investments in clean energy projects, explaining that such initiatives help reduce operational costs and strengthen the competitive edge of businesses operating in Egypt.

He also underscored the government’s support for public-private partnerships, ensuring the implementation of high-value projects aligned with Egypt’s Vision 2030 for sustainable economic development.

Empower New Energy officials shared that the company is expanding its operations across ten African markets, focusing on clean energy solutions at low costs, which boost the sustainability of the energy sector and provide competitive advantages for businesses over 8-9 years.
