Egypt is seeking to boost its export industries to the African markets.
This comes on the sidelines of the 23rd annual meeting of the African Export–Import Bank (Afreximbank) when Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation Sahar Nasr discussed with Afreximbank president Benedict Oramah the importance of encouraging more efforts to boost Egypt’s exports to Africa.
Afreximbank can play a significant role in bolstering integrity between Egypt and the African countries in terms of holding joint exhibitions showcasing Egyptian products there, Nasr said.
Afreximbank’s current portfolio for Egypt reached $3.4 billion, Oramah stated, saying his bank would hold a major conference in 2017 to provide support and finance to boost intra-trade in Africa.
