Egypt: gold prices today – March 25

Gold prices today in Egypt fell by 4.66 Egyptian pounds as global prices of the yellow metal plunged by $10 to record $1,629 per ounce amid fears over the economic impact of the coronavirus.

According to data compiled by Amwal Al Ghad on Wednesday, the price of 21-carat gold, the most popular in the local market, dropped to around 722.14 Egyptian pounds after it recorded an increase to 726.21 a day earlier, while 18-carat gold decreased to 614.97 pounds from 622.46.

The price of gold rose yesterday by about 43 pounds, as it increased in the beginning of yesterday’s trading by about 18 pounds, coinciding with a global increase of $35, then rose again by about 25.27 pounds with the rise of the ounce globally by about $50 .
