The Judiciary committee assessing Muslim Brotherhood funds has seized 66 companies, which are owned by prominent leaders in the Islamist outlawed group, Khairat El-Shater and Hassan Malek.
The 66 companies placed under the government’s control include Istikbal for Furniture and Sarar brands.
The governmental crackdown on Brotherhood members and their activities started last year following the ouster of president Mohamed Morsi, who hailed from the group.
