Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology Yasser El-Kady ruled out plans to release 5G services in the country any time soon.
This statement followed offering 4G licence for sale which will allow all telecom operators the right to provide the full range of services, including both mobile and fixed-line voice and data services, as well as international calls.
El-Kady added that his ministry is not to change any of the terms and conditions of obtaining the 4G licence. Fees are still to be half paid in dollars and no time extensions shall be granted after the first of August for applications submission, he said.
