Egypt and Indonesia’s trade exchange is estimated at US$1.2 billion annually, according to the head of the Egyptian-Indonesian Business Council.
Speaking to Amwal Al Ghad Sunday, Sherif El-Gabaly – Chairman of the Egypt-Indonesia Business Council – highlights the importance of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s anticipated visit to Indonesia to boost bilateral economic ties in the coming phase.
The Egyptian president’s visit is scheduled to include a number of meetings on both Indonesian governmental and business society levels. The meetings aim to address the current available investment opportunities in Egypt.
Indonesia enjoys a prominent economic market, with a population of 240 million approximately, the Egyptian official added.
Moreover, El-Gabaly said Egypt can benefit from Indonesia’s successful expertise in supporting the small and medium-sized enterprises there.
