Egypt is the biggest recipient of the French funding and assistance programmes globally, said Egyptian minister of finance, who is currently visiting France for two days.
Minister Hany Qadry said the two countries currently proclaimed a ‘golden age’ in bilateral relations.
Following his meeting with French Finance Minister Michel Sapin in Paris, Minister Hany Qadry said France is keen to support Egypt in all levels.
Qadry traveled on November 5th to the French capital Paris, heading a delegation of senior officials of the Ministry of Finance, on a visit to France and the United States in the framework of Egyptian government’s efforts to boost the national economy and activating the cooperation between Egypt and its development partners.
In Paris, Kadry planned to meet with French Finance Minister and to hold a meeting with the heads of major French banks and companies which have investments in the Egyptian market as well as companies keen to invest in Egypt.
Meanwhile, French Finance Minister Michel Sapin expected France to top pumping direct foreign investments in Egypt, notably in the Suez Canal axis region.
