Spain to upgrade Egypt’s transport technology infrastructure

Egyptian ministry of transport has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with a Spanish firm specialised in transport technology to upgrade basic infrastructure.

Saad el Gioushi – transport minister- said Friday that the MOU aims at developing equipments, enterprise architecture, administration systems, and activating Central Reservation System (CRS).

According to the MoU, the Spanish firm is to establish driving schools and make a study for the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS).

El-Gioushi added that the ITS system will contribute to solving a lot of problem that face Egypt notably road accidents, overload, and traffic chaos.
