In the light of the June 30 uprising and its recent repercussions, Egypt is waging a fierce war against terrorism which threatens the African planet as a whole, Egyptian ambassador to Ethiopia Mohamed Idris told Amwal Al Ghad on Monday.
Ambassador Idris said he and the Embassy staff are currently conducting intensive talks with the Ethiopian and the African Union Commission officials, seeking to give a full explanation about the political situation in Egypt away from the misinformation circulated through the biased western media.
Egypt has witnessed sad events represented in the deaths of people from the same nation, facing plotted terrorist acts against citizens, churches, mosques, police stations and state utilities which in return aroused the international community’ growing concerns for the current situation in Egypt, he added.
“Egypt is waging a war against terrorism seeking not only to secure the goals of January 2011 revolution but also to save the whole African planet.” Amb. Idris noted
