Egypt launches 1st eco-friendly water bottle alternative to plastic during COP27
Egypt’s Good Water Company has announced on Saturday the launch of the first environmentally friendly water box, “Good water”, to get rid of the phenomenon of using plastic bottles, during the side-lines of the Climate Conference (COP27).
This step came align with Egypt’s vision towards a more sustainable and eco-friendly future.
Good Water bottle is 100 percent plant-based and made out of renewable resources, the cape made out of bio-based sugarcane, while the box’s wood fibre comes from sustainably managed forests.
The material used by the Company offers impressive environmental credentials because it uses no fossil fuels, can be recycled, and degrades in nature far faster than day-to-day plastic.
The 500ml boxed water has a lower total environmental impact than plastic bottled water, and aluminum cans. It also safeguards the waters original purity (protection from light, aseptic packaging).
The new eco-friendly bottle has attracted great interest from all participating parties, especially the heads of participating countries and institutions interested in protecting the environment.
Noteworthy, that the Good Water Company has launched in 2022 by a group of Egyptian entrepreneurs, who interested in producing an eco-friendly mineral water drinking experience, to get rid of the culture of using plastic bottles.
