Egypt’s Ministry of Transport unveils that it is executing the third phase of around 89 km within the county’s new national roads network, with costs exceeding 11.3 billion Egyptian pounds ($638.8 million).
Transport Minister Hesham Arafat said Saturday that his ministry is currently carrying out a 145km-project linking Upper Egypt/Red Sea between Sohag and Assiut highways, as part of the third phase of the national road flagship.
Arafat further added that the ministry prepares to start the road duplication of these projects, at costs estimated at 1.149 billion pounds.
