Egypt is in process to execute nine wastewater plants in Alexandria, the second largest city in the country, at a cost totalling 3.179 billion Egyptian pounds ($192.8 million), said senior official on Sunday.
At a total capacity of around 73,000 cubic metres per day, the plants will serve nearly 460,000 people living in the coastal city, head of Egypt’s Central Authority for Potable Water and Wastewater (CAPWW) Hassan El-Far further added.
