Egypt opens IoT lab
Egypt’s communications minister Amr Talaat on Monday opened Egypt’s first internet of things (IoT) lab.
Launched in cooperation with the Academy of Scientific Research & Technology (ASRT), the lab is located at the headquarters of the Information Technology Institute (ITI).
The lab will act as a research platform exploring the possible of host sourcing and IoT for multidisciplinary research with more end-user communications. It will assist in developing solutions that enable the country’s smart villages to become more agile, make better use of their resources and improve the attractiveness of rural areas and the quality of life of rural residents.
