Egypt planning smart urban communities in new cities – official

Egypt is in process to build a bunch of smart urban communities in the country’s new capital, Galala, New Alamein, and New Mansoura cities, Deputy Minister of Housing for National Projects said on Thursday.

Khalid Abbas made his remarks at a meeting with door-knock mission members in London.

Smart urban communities aim to provide new investment opportunities to Egypt, Abbas said.

The door-knock mission of around 40 Egyptian financial institutions and firms was sent by British Egyptian Business Association (BEBA) to UK. The mission aim to scout for new grounds of cooperation between the two countries as well as promoting the available investment opportunities in Egypt.
