Egypt’s tourism sector has seen a strong rebound in the first half (H1) of 2024, welcoming 7.069 million tourists, surpassing the previous record of 7.062 million in 2023. This growth is notable compared to 2010 when Egypt had 6.9 million tourists.
The number of tourist nights also experienced an upward trend, reaching 70.2 million nights, outpacing the previous record of 67.6 million nights in 2023 and 65.7 million nights in 2010.
The positive trend continued with estimated tourism revenues for the same period reaching $6.6 billion, up from $6.3 billion in 2023 and $5.6 billion in 2010.
