Egypt releases $3.7bln goods from ports in 18 days
Egyptian government has released $3.7 billion worth of goods from ports during the period from February 1st to 18th, according to Egyptian Cabinet spokesman Nader Saad said on Sunday.
Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly held a meeting with Central Bank of Egypt’s (CBE) governor Hassan Abdalla, Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir and number of officials to follow up Advance Cargo Information (ACI) system.
Madbouly stressed to continue keenness on efforts to facilitate customs release operations in various Egyptian ports and shorten the release time for imported goods and materials.
In addition to that facilitate trade movement, with continued periodic follow-up by the responsible authorities, in a way that contributes to activating the work of this system.
