Egypt sees $9 bln of chemical, fertilisers exports by 2024
Egypt aims to increase its exports of chemical and fertilisers sector to $9 billion by 2024, Khaled Abo El Makarim, chairman of the Egyptian Chemical and Fertilizers Export Council (CEC), announced on Tuesday.
Abo El Makarim made these remarks on the sidelines of the PLASTEX 2024, the largest plastics and rubber exhibition in the Middle East and North Africa, which is taking place in Cairo on January 9-12.
The CEC’s strategy for the current year includes tapping new markets, mainly Africa and Europe, he added.
“The council plans to send around six missions, involving Egyptian companies for chemical industries, to promote their product, throughout the current year,” Abo El Makarim stated.
