Egypt’s stocks maintained their upward trend for the seventh session in a row posting gains totaled EGP 2.1 billion on Monday. The benchmark index closed at 5541 pts on Monday.
The Egyptian Exchange indices were wavering in green notes during the closing session of Monday.
Egypt’s benchmark index EGX30 inched up by 0.53% to close at 5541.88 pts; while the EGX20 rose by 0.66% to end at 6469.26 p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 increased by 0.44% to conclude at 472.25 p. The price index EGX100 advanced by 0.44% to finish at 792.72 p.
The capital market has closed at EGP 373.795 billion on Monday.
Traded Volumes & Trades
Through the closing session of Monday, the trading volume has reached 145.309 million securities. For the traded value, it hit EGP 412.400 million, exchanged through 24.994 thousand transactions.
Also during the closing session, 171 listed securities have been traded in; 65 declined, 74 advanced; while 32 keeping their previous levels.
Investors’ Activity
Egyptians and Arabs backed EGX’s gains as they remained net buyers seizing 89.82% and 2.9% respectively, of the total market, with net equities of EGP 13.363 million and EGP 3.893 million, excluding the deals.
Meanwhile, the non-Arab foreigners were net sellers seizing 7.28% of the total market, with a net equity of EGP 17.257 million, excluding the deals.
