Egypt’s Minister of industry and Trade Tarek Qabil said Sunday that an Egyptian garment company has signed a $3 million deal with a Lebanese fashion-designing company.
The Egyptian company is assigned to perform all the manufacturing processes to supply readymade garments to Lebanon and other markets, Qabil added.
The deal is a part of a commercial initiative recently launched under the title Egypt-Lebanon to Africa that aims at marketing Egyptian and Lebanese products, the Egyptian Minister elaborated.
The Lebanese company will carry out designs for several major Lebanese facilities; airline companies, hotels, and governmental institutions .It also targets supplying garments to Dubai and several West African countries. This collaboration is an important opportunity for the Egyptian product to expand into these regions, he added.
