Egypt: Sisi appoints 73 female judges in the Court of First Instance
President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi’s decision has issued on Monday to appoint 73 female members from the Administrative Prosecution and State Cases Authority as judges in the Court of First Instance , Hana Sorour member of the House of Representatives, praised.
The decision is an implementation of the government’s plan to empower women for reaching high positions in different professions.
The appointment of the 73 female judges came after 5 months of appointing 98 women judges at the State Council and the Public Prosecution for the first time.
The first article stipulated the appointment of 49 female advisers to the position of president of category B in Court of First Instance, as quoted from the bodies of administrative prosecution and state cases.
Moreover, the second article included the appointment of 24 female advisors from the Administrative Prosecution and State Cases bodies to the position of judge in the Court of First Instance.
Sorour said that Egyptian women have received great attention through recent years, adding that the appointment considered as a continuation of al-Sisi’s policy of supporting Egyptian women to obtain their rights.
