Egypt aims to transform its pharmaceutical sector into a major contributor to the national economy, by increasing pharmaceutical exports to $3 billion by 2030, shifting away from its current reliance on foreign currency for drug imports.
Ahmed El-Sobky, Head of Egypt Helathcare Authority, made this announcement on Saturday at the fourth edition of the Al-Ahram Pharmaceutical Conference.
