Egypt Telecom Ministry Refutes Secret Coordination with Brotherhood

Eng. Atef Helmy, Egyptian Minister of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), has denied the rumors which circulated in some media regarding  the Muslim Brotherhood leader, Khairat El-Shater secret coordination for obtaining wireless operator device from one of the workers at the Ministry.

The Minister has explained that all of these allegations are totally false and illegal according to the license law for using the wireless device.

Helmy has asserted that El-Shater has never dealt with the ICT sector, either directly or indirectly , stressing that the Ministry does not  protect any corruption or deviation.

Helmy has emphasized that all of these statements are inaccurate and invalid as the insecurity and unrest situation after June 30 demonstrations caused false and invalid news .
