Egypt to establish mining tools plant

Egypt’s Golden Triangle Economic Authority is working on the launch of a state-of-the-art mining and drilling tools plant in Safaga, Egypt, addressing critical shortages in the local market.

During a panel discussion at the Egypt Mining Forum (EMF), Adel Kamel, Chairman of the Golden Triangle Economic Authority, announced the finalisation of an agreement with an Egyptian company to establish a state-of-the-art factory for manufacturing mining and drilling tools. Projecting to create up to 300 jobs, the facility aims to not only fulfill local demand but also export surplus production.

Kamel emphasised that this initiative exemplifies the Golden Triangle Economic Authority’s dedication to strengthening Egypt’s industrial base. The project, he explained, leverages local resources and infrastructure to unlock the full potential of Egypt’s mining sector. Furthermore, strategic partnerships will support this endeavor by advancing exploration efforts.

The new mining tools plant signifies a major leap forward in Egypt’s economic diversification strategy. It not only promises to boost local production capabilities but also positions Egypt to establish a presence in the international market for these crucial tools.
