Egypt to export $1bn commodities to US via QIZ
Egypt is looking to export commodities worth $ one billion to the US through the Qualified Industrial Zone protocol (QIZ) during the current year with an increase of 15 percent, head of the QIZ unit at the Egyptian trade ministry Ashraf El Rabiey said.
He told Amwal Al Ghad that the exports have reached $568.8 million between January and July 2019 with an increase of 14.3 percent.
Ready-made clothing and textile make up 98% of goods exported under the QIZ agreement, he added.
