Construction works will finish soon on Borg El-Arab and New Asyut technology parks, said Asmaa Hosny, CEO of ITIDA, the IT arm of the Egyptian Ministry of Communications.
Speaking to Amwal El Ghad, Hosny added that in a matter of weeks the two technology parks technology park swould be inaugurated and come into service.
The two parks have a unified design in terms of the general layout, building designs, and provided services, the Egyptian official said. In addition, ITIDA is going to develop 22 more technological buildings in Borg El Arab and New Asyut cities before the end of this year in cooperation with the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA).
On a 126-square-metrespace, Borg El Arab Technology Park is set to become a comprehensive trade centre comprising all services modern utilities,national and international schools, universities such as the Japan University of Science, research centres, an international airport, residential neighborhoods, and medical centres.
Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology is looking forward to establishing a specialised company to develop and manage seven technology parks at a cost of 3 billion Egyptian pounds. They will be distributed on governorates of Asyut, Aswan, 10th of Ramadan city, Damietta, Sadat City, Borg El Arab, and Sohag.
