Egypt industry: Law to limit industrial land usage to original landowners
Egypt’s government is set to initiate new regulations aimed at curbing speculation, trading, and transfer of industrial land. These measures will restrict industrial land development to the original owner and prevent the issuance of operating licenses to anyone other than the original landowner, the Ministerial Group for Industrial Development reported on Thursday
This initiative is designed to counteract the activities of intermediaries, reclaim land from non-compliant investors, and reallocate it to serious investors. The move addresses the rising demand for industrial land and seeks to ensure that land is utilised effectively for its intended purposes.
