Egypt most attractive investment destination: Menarail Transport CEO

Egypt is the most attractive investment destination in Africa, said one of the leading experts in transport consultancy field in the country on Friday.

The country plays a significant crucial role in attracting foreign investments to the continent, he added.

Egypt is Africa’s gateway to receive foreign investments, said Alfred Assil – chief executive of Menarail Transport Consultants – at an event on the sidelines of a door-knock mission to the UK, organised by the British Egyptian Business Association (BEBA) from November 27 to 29. It aims to discuss bolstering bilateral cooperation between Egypt and the UK.

The improvement in Egypt’s business environment, facilitated through government legislative and economic reforms, combined with the progressive increase in investment from the private sector has enhanced economic growth and assisted in repositioning Egypt on the global investment map.

The mission is a great opportunity to highlight the progress Egypt has accomplished during the past five years, Assil added.

Britain is Egypt’s biggest investor, Assil said, citing the Egyptian Investment Ministry’s recent report.
