The value of bilateral trade between Egypt and Türkiye hit $7 billion for the first time in 2022, said the Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir on Wednesday.
Turkish companies in Egypt surpassed 790, with total investments of about $2.5 billion.
There was also new investments of $400 million in 2020 in the sectors of medical aid, furniture, food, engineering, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and chemicals.
Turkish firms in Egypt are expected to exceed 800 during this week and 1,000 by the end of the current year, according to Secretary General of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, Alaa Ezz.
