EgyptAir cancels scheduled flights to Kuwait until further notice
State-owned carrier EgyptAir said on Saturday it has cancelled its scheduled flights to Kuwait until further notice.
The national carrier has called upon its passengers to review their reservations for Kuwait flights by calling its hotline 1717 or 090070000, or visiting its offices and agencies.
The statement noted that the Kuwaiti decision is based on the instructions of its health authorities to curb the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19).
Earlier on Saturday, the Kuwaiti Civil Aviation Authority decided to suspend commercial flights from 31 countries, including Egypt.
Kuwait International Airport will run at 30 percent capacity starting Saturday, which will gradually increase in the coming months, reported Reuters.
The Gulf state initiated a five-phase plan in early June to gradually lift restrictions imposed to curb the spread of the virus.
Egypt has resumed international flights earlier this month after a three-month suspension due to the pandemic.
