Egyptian Embassy in Sudan evacuates 18 students

The Egyptian Embassy in Sudan announced on Wednesday that it had evacuated 18 students and their families who were left behind in Wad Madani, Al-Jazira state, amid the recent armed clashes between the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and the Sudanese army.

The Egyptian students were safely evacuated from the city, according to the Foreign Ministry, which worked with the Sudanese authorities to arrange for their transfer. They arrived at the Egyptian borders from the Egyptian Consulate’s Port Sudan headquarters.

The ministry also advised all Egyptians in Sudan to depart immediately. Moreover, it stated that travelling to Sudan during the current civil conflict is no longer allowed.
