Industry and Trade Minister Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour announced Thursday a decree to reshuffle the Egyptian side of the Egypt-India Business Council.
The new council will be presided by Khaled Abu El Makarem, Chairman of the Egyptian Chemicals and Fertilizers Export Council, for three years.
As pursuant to the minister’s decree, the new board members of the Egyptian-Indian Business Council (Egyptian part) currently include notably:
Hesham El Sewedy – Elsewedy Cables;
Karim Ghabbour – President of Manufacturing Commercial Vehicles Co. (MCV);
Mohamed Farid Khamis – Chairman of the Oriental Weavers Group;
Mohamed Ahmed El-Sayed – Chairman of Kapci Coatings;
Walid Gamaleldin – Chairman of Modern Waterproofing Group;
Ahmed Zaky El Gabbas – Chairman of the Egyptian German Company for Industries and Trading;
Arafat Mohamed Ahmed Rashed – Industrial Engineering Group (INDE);
Mohy Hafez – Chairman of Delta Pharma Bio Company; and
Magdy Khairallah – Chairman of Data Management Systems company (DMS).
In addition to the reshuffle, the ministerial decree also stipulated that the Council shall submit a half-annual report to the Egyptian Minister of Industry and Trade, involving its activities, future plans, and suggestions to develop the mutual interests for both countries.
Moreover, the Egyptian minister Abdel Nour said the council would play a significant role in maximising the bilateral cooperation between the two countries on both commercial and investment levels.
