Poland-based major firms eyeing participation in mega Egyptian projects

Some Polish businessmen are interested in joining alliances and partnerships with Egyptian private sector companies to carry out mega projects in Egypt, an official from the Egyptian Businessmen’s Association (EBA) said Thursday.

This comes after a number of major Egyptian companies met Wednesday with Polish counterparts at the EBA’s headquarters, said Daker Abdellah, a member of the EBA and the Egyptian Federation for Construction and Building Contractors (EFCBC).

Abdellah said the state of stability and the authorities’ strategies to boost national economy besides the announcement of many mega developmental projects such as the Suez Canal Axis Development have all encouraged the foreign capitals and investments to enter into alliances with Egyptian companies or to pump investments in various sectors in the country.

The Polish delegation has encompassed companies working in several areas; civil engineering, contracting, metro carriages manufacturing, mean production and export, food industries, agriculture equipment manufacturing, importing frozen agricultural products, exporting fruits, and textile manufacturing equipments. They all expressed genuine keenness to invest in Egypt, Abdellah added.
