Egyptian supply ministry targets boosting efficiency of the market and attracting more investments by unifying the 17 bodies that grant licences in one body, i.e. Internal Trade Development Authority (ITDA).
The minister added that this step participated in getting investments estimated at 5.3 billion Egyptian pounds (US$596.8 million) in internal trade sector.
He clarified that the ministry exerts efforts to organise the sector through providing data and information for investors after contracting with American multinational companies Microsoft and Visa to link wholesale centers with suppliers.
