Egyptian mobile operators are offering free calls and text messages to Morocco amid the earthquake that hit the country on Friday. The offer helps customers to reach out to their friends and family affected by the disaster.
Vodafone and Orange are offering free calls for three days starting September 10th. Etisalat, however, is offering its customers in Morocco free calls to Egypt for a full week.
Morocco was hit by a destructive 6.8 magnitude earthquake on late Friday night, followed by a 4.9 magnitude aftershock.
So far, the quake has killed 2,100 people, which makes it the deadliest earthquake in the country in 60 years.
