Egyptian stock market opens Sunday in green
The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Sunday’s trading session in green territory on the back of local buying.
By 10:30 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index added 0.25 percent to 15,919 points.
The EGX70 index inched up 0/06 percent to 775.59 points, while the EGX100 index levelled up 0.15 percent to 1,993.04 points.
Likewise, the equal-weighted EGX50 index inched up 0.03 percent to 2,709 points.
Trading volume amounted to around 6.7 million shares exchanged at a turnover of 31.6 million pounds through 1,150 transactions.
Egyptian investors were net buyers with 2.5 million pounds, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with 1.6 million pounds and 829,120 pounds, respectively.
