Egypt’s Arab Contractors vying for 4 African infrastructure projects

Egypt’s state-owned construction firm, Arab Contractors is competing to execute four infrastructure flagships in a number of African countries, an official in the company said on Sunday.

“We are currently competing to carry out a drinking water and sanitation network in the Democratic Republic of Congo, two utilities and infrastructure works in the Ivorian coast city of Abidjan, and a road project in Uganda,” AC head of African sector, Ibrahim Mabrouk said.

The Egyptian company is currently preparing to submit the financial offers, he added.

“Our current business volume in Africa approaches 1.8 billion Egyptian pounds ($111.5 million),” Mabrouk said.
