Egypt allocates EGP650mn to develop Qalyubia

Egypt has allocated 650 million Egyptian pounds in FY2019/2020 budget to Qalyubia governorate in order to develop the infrastructure and carry out sanitation projects, according to  Qalyubia Governor Alaa Abdel Halim.

He told Amwal al Ghad that the governorate will witness the inauguration the  Egyptian Refining Company new project with total investments of $4.58 billion.

The governorate owns a number of industrial and investment zones in Khanka region. It has also contracted number of investors for some major projects, and some approvals for a new industrial area on an area of 50 feddans are being finalised.

The 20190/2020 budget is directed into  investments to improve services, upgrade utilities and secure jobs.
