Egypt’s Arab Contractors wins $70-m road project in Uganda

Egypt’s Minister of Housing, Sherif El-Sherbiny congratulated the company and affirmed full support for expanding its projects in Africa, highlighting Egypt’s commitment to supporting developmental initiatives across the continent.

The project aims to enhance internal trade and boost commercial activity by connecting several major cities, particularly benefiting Ugandan exports to Kenya.

Over the past five years, Arab Contractors has executed and handed over four road projects totaling 160 kilometres, receiving praise from the Ugandan community for high quality and efficiency. The company is currently implementing road projects in the cities of Pallisa and Kumi, valued at $34 million.
