Egypt’s c. bank offers EGP 50b in T-bills
The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) on Thursday offered a total of 50 billion Egyptian pounds in two treasury bill auctions, according to a CBE statement on its website.
This auction offers investors two options for investing in government debt with varying maturities.
Investors can choose between:
182-day T-bills: offering an investment of 25 billion pounds with a maturity day of November 12th, 2024.
364-day T-bills: offering an investment of 25 billion pounds with a maturity day of May 13th, 2025.
The CBE likely releases details on the accepted bids and weighted average yields on their website after the auction concludes.
