Egypt’s CBE announces EGP 75 in t-bills

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered 75 billion Egyptian pounds in treasury bills (t-bills) on Thursday, in coordination with the Ministry of Finance.

The auction shall be in two tranches: 30 billion pounds for a 182-day tenure to be maturated on 21/01/2025, and 45 billion pounds for a 364-day tenure to be maturated on 22/07/2025, as per the statement.

Treasury bills are short-term government debt instruments with maturities ranging from three months to a year.
