Egypt’s CBE auctions EGP 65b in T-bills
The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered the first treasury bills (T-bills) for August, amounting to EGP 65 billion, in coordination with the Ministry of Finance on Thursday.
The auction shall be in two tranches: 35 billion pounds for 182-day to be maturated on 04/02/2025, and 30 billion pounds for 364-day to be maturated on 05/08/2025, as per the statement.
Treasury bills are short-term government debt instruments with maturities ranging from three months to a year.
