The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered treasury bills (T-bills) worth 1.75 billion Egyptian pounds on Monday, according to a statement.
T-bills were offered through two tranches; 3-year bills of one billion pounds, and seven-year bills of 750 million pounds.
The country’s Finance Ministry plans to offer T-bills and bonds estimated at 110.75 billion pounds within July to finance the state budget deficit, compared with 25 percent up from 88.6 billion pounds offered during July 2016.
