Egypt Central Bank announced, today in its monthly statement that the core inflation rates climbed 8.04% in May, up from 7.47% ended April. Whilst the monthly core inflation rates recorded 0% by May-end, compared to 0.97% during April.
Furthermore, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) revealed on Monday that the monthly consumers’ prices hit a record as it dropped 0.16% during May, opposed to a growth of 1.47% by April-end.The annual inflation rate edged higher by 8.20% during May, up from 8.11% last April.
