Egypt’s c. bank to head African financial stability working group
The Assembly of Governors of the Association of African Central Banks (AACB) approved the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) to lead a working group to prepare an African Financial Stability Report. This report will analyse systemic risks in African financial systems and assess their ability to continue their role in financial intermediation. The findings will be published annually in the FSR.
The move came after the AACB’s Assembly of Governors approved CBE’s proposal to establish an African Financial Stability Committee. This Committee will play a crucial role in strengthening financial stability across the continent.
