State-run Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) and Greek gas grid operator DESFA are exploring energy cooperation, with a focus on natural gas transportation, carbon capture and storage (CCS), and energy sustainability.
EGAS CEO Yasseen Mohamed discussed on Wednesday with DESFA CEO Maria Rita Galli to advance collaboration. The discussions centered on implementing a memorandum of understanding between EGAS and DESFA, aimed at developing cutting-edge CCS technologies to support Egypt’s carbon reduction efforts. The two sides also explored enhancing gas network integration to facilitate regional and international gas trade, reinforcing Egypt’s role as an energy hub.
