Egypt’s external short-term debt falls to $29.4b by FY Q2 23/24 – CBE
Egypt’s short-term debt decreased to $29,482.9 billion at the end of December 2023, compared to $30,268.7 billion at the end of last September, data from the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) showed on Tuesday.
The country’s external debt reached $168,034.2 billion at the end of the Q2 of 2023/2024, compared to $164,521.6billion at the end of the Q1 of the current financial year.
The long-term external debt stood at $138,551.3 billion at the end of December 2023, compared to $134,252.9billion at the end of last September, as per the report.
