Egypt’s Finance Ministry endorses Biggest Promotion Move for Customs Authority Staff

The Egyptian Customs Authority witnesses the largest promotion move in its history.

This comes after Egyptian Finance Minister Hani Qadri Demian had approved on Thursday the promotion  of 72 authority leaders; 54 promoted to General Manager positions and 18 others to Under – Secretary.

Those approvals come within the ministry’s plan to occupy vacant leadership positions in the Middle-management. This step would improve the quality of the Customs Authority’s performance in providing services and enhance the government’s efforts to activate foreign trade in Egypt and ease investments.

Demian stated that those promotions are part of a comprehensive plan to upgrade the performance of the Customs Authority. This plan aims to boost the control over the country’s borders to combat smuggled products, seeking to protect the national industry.
