Egypt’s GAFI, Croatia’s economy ministry sign MoU to spur bilateral investments

Egypt’s General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Tuesday with the Croatian Ministry of Economy to strengthen investment ties between the two countries. The agreement aims to foster bilateral investments, enhance the investment climate, and provide greater support for investors.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Egypt’s Prime Minister, Moustafa Madbouly and his Croatian counterpart, Andrej Plenković.

Yasser Abbas, Deputy CEO of GAFI, highlighted the significance of deepening investment relations with Croatia, emphasising the role of private sector collaboration in both nations. He noted that ongoing discussions with Croatian officials had paved the way for this agreement.

In the coming period, both sides will coordinate business delegations for bilateral meetings and develop an investment opportunities map. Efforts will focus on facilitating cooperation, sharing expertise, and exchanging information in key economic sectors.
