Egypt’s state-owned wheat buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities, or GASC, said Wednesday it bought a total 120,000 metric tons of U.S. and Argentine wheat, for shipment May 11-20.
GASC bought 60,000 tons of U.S. wheat for $262.84 a metric ton from Toepfer, according to a GASC official. The authority also bought 60,000 tons of Argentine wheat from Cargill Inc. for $259.35/ton.
