Egypt-based General Authority for Reconstruction Projects and Agricultural Development has launched an insurance policy tender to cover its warehouses against risks, according to sources.
The policy will see coverage of the authority’s warehouses against damages related to fire and burglary as well as additional risks, official sources in the country’s insurance sector told Amwal Al Ghad on Sunday.
As for the additional risks, they include coverage of explosions and fire produced from self-ignition, besides other dangers related to firefighters that face serious risks on their jobs as well as lightning strikes, the sources added.
The insurance policy also encompasses coverage of risks arising from natural disasters as well damages due to earthquakes, storms, volcanoes, floods, and torrents, they said.
